INVITATION FOR BIDS
PEABODY APARTMENTS REMEDIATION & DEMOLITION

The Integral Building Group, LLC, as Construction Manager, is accepting bids for the Remediation and Demolition of Peabody Apartments located at 1100 - 27th street, Columbus, GA.  The Housing Authority of the City of Columbus, Georgia site consists of 51 two story residential buildings (510 units), a management office building, a recreation building, and a maintenance building.  The scope of work includes removal and disposal of asbestos containing materials, demolition and disposal of all buildings and foundations, removal and disposal of site improvements and utilities, erosion control, earthwork and preparing the site for future construction.

A Pre-Bid Conference and Bid Opening will be held in the Management Office Building Community Room located at 1100 - 27th street, Columbus GA.  The Pre-Bid Conference will be held Thursday, February 26, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. local time.  The Bid Opening will be held Monday, March 8, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. local time.  All bids must be submitted in a “sealed” envelope in the Management Office Building Community Room after 10:00 a.m. and before 2:00 p.m. local time on March 8, 2004. No bids will be accepted after 2:00 p.m. local time on March 8, 2004.  Each bidder will be required to submit a bid bond with their bid that is 5% of their bid.  The selected bidder must provide proof of commercial general liability insurance and provide a 100% Payment & Performance Bond.  The Integral Building Group reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities.
